Registration forms must be received no later than February 21 at Connie's house.
A minimum of 6 applicants are needed to hold the test.
UNLIKE THE CGC WHICH IS TESTED IN A RING SITUATION, THE CGCU TEST IS DONE IN REAL SITUATIONS—WALKING THROUGH A CROWD OF SHOPPERS, CROSSING BUSY STREETS, RIDING AN ELEVATOR AND/OR TRAVELING IN A CAR, APPROPRIATE REACTION TO CITY DISTRACTIONS.
To earn the AKC Urban CGC TITLE, dogs must have a Canine Good Citizen test ON RECORD at the American Kennel Club. If you are NOT interested in adding AKC titles to your dogs’ name, you do not need a CGC title to participate.
All tests are performed ON LEASH. Dogs should wear well fitting buckle, slip collars (including martingales) or non-restricting body harnesses. No pinch collars, head collars or flexi leads are allowed.
YOU are responsible for your own dog so make sure that you are equipped with poop bags in the unlikely event that your dog(s) eliminate in a public area.
THERE WILL BE NO DAY OF TEST ENTRIES.
