Class Description
Get ready for a new AKC Fetch title with this class for Advanced and Retrieve levels. This class will instruct handlers on rules and regulations for AKC Fetch at the Advanced and Retrieve levels. We will teach double and triple retrieves from behind a blind. Prerequisites: Dogs must be over 6 months have a reliable retrieve and not be reactive to people or other dogs. Long leads, bumpers, etc will be provided for this class. Please bring plenty of water as we are working outdoors in the fenced in area behind the MADTA building. AKC Fetch is a pass-fail noncompetitive test. At the Advanced level, dogs will retrieve balls or bumpers from behind a blind at a distance of 70 feet. The dog will complete 2 single retrieves and 2 double retrieves. At the Retriever level, dogs will retrieve a bumper from behind a blind at a distance of 80 feet. The dog will complete 2 double retrieves and a triple retrieve. Crates are required for this class. Dogs can be crated in your car or outdoors under the canopy while not working
